Host Family Program in Oaxaca
Students and staff at our partner school in Oaxaca agree that staying with a local host family is the best way to immerse yourself fully in the culture, language and community that surrounds you. We always try to accommodate students within 20-30 minutes from the school, whether on foot or by public transportation. Single and double rooms are available.
All participating host families in Oaxaca have been carefully chosen by our school staff members to ensure that you feel as comfortable and at home as possible. Keep in mind ahead of time that the lifestyles and standards of living may differ from those of Europe and North America. While our host families belong to the middle or upper class, the way of life may be simpler than what you're used to. We encourage you to keep an open mind and, when necessary, adapt to the local customs as best you can.
